Questions and Answers
How much space is required?
Space is dependant on the type of slide, slide gradients, and total height. Example: Two slides launched from a 40 foot elevation will require an area approximately 10¹ x 350¹. If a tower is required, we suggest an 18¹ x 18¹ area be set aside at the top of the slide. An area dedicated for queue lines must be added at the bottom.
What vehicles are used on the Ice Slide?
Ice Slide, Inc. has tested nearly every snow tube available. The tube's size, bottom surface, and quality are critical to the slide¹s performance. Different tubes have an impact on the friction created on the ice surface, and in the deceleration. Tubes for the Ice Slide must be purchased from Ice Slide, Inc. or an approved vendor.
How long does it take from order to construction completion?
There are many influences as to the time required for construction. Soils conditions, weather, as well as installation techniques requested will influence construction time. We suggest a 6 to 8 week time span be allocated to construction. Order of product to delivery ranges from 16 to 20 weeks, depending on when the order is placed and the volume of the order.
